Surfing Texas Style

Moving from the wonderful world of suburbia, planned neighborhoods with walking trails and swimming pools, does have its drawbacks. My daughter is making do....

by going

Slip 'N Slide Surfing!!!!!

Never let it be said that my children can't manage to have a good time for under $15.00.

I would show you our lovely swimming pool, but my kids would kill me. Ha ha!

What a great photo that is and I so agree you dont need a great big swimming pool to have fun. Some of my greatest memories are on my grandparents farm running around with hoses splashing each other. Can't do that now given most farmers here have been in drought for 10 years. Might get one of those splash and slide things myself next summer. Cant say I could get away wearing a bikini but it sure looks like fun.

I know exactly what you're talking about. FUN!! She tried to get me on that thing, but no go. I did lounge like a beached whale in the redneck pool for a little while. Not bad :) I DID NOT try out the bikini. It would have traumatized her for life. lol

Speaking of drought...it's raining here.

she certainly looks like she's having a lot of fun:)... and being in the countryside has its advantages --- like doing crazy antics in your garden without anyone whispering behind your back :)... and it must be refreshing to do that after a few hours under the sun!

Wow, That looks fun. What a great idea. We also live way out in the country and there isn't much for my 3 1/2 year old to do. We use to live in the suburbs but decide country life was what we wanted. Though city life did have it's perks.
