Tia's Critters

My blogging friend, Lilly, wanted to know about my animals. At this time, I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, and 2 fancy goldfish. I did have 4 dogs, but we lost our Harley in April.

That's just the animals that call me their own. Ha ha! We have a lot of wildlife that call our place home or might just traipse through. Wild hogs, coyotes, armadillos, skunks, a local bobcat....the list goes on.

Occassionally I have to run a cow out of the front yard, and nope, it's not mine.

We have the definition of coolness, a Manx cat named Jake. A little sweetie kittie that we call Ellie.

My lovie, Bear.

The Unquestionable King, Rudy, our oldest doggie.

Our pasture buddies, JJ and Rowdy.

Then last, but not least, there is Ruger , The Master of Destruction!

I don't have any pictures of my fish, but they're dubbed Hubba and Bubba. I'll get right on that. LOL

Tia, thanks for pointing me to this post. Goodness knows how I missed that one. It was beautiful, going back and looking at older posts about all your pets. I love all of their names too (and your post on Harley was so sad).

You really are an excellent photographer you know - not easy taking great pictures of animals. And the horses are gorgeous.

As for the wild animals - what is an armidillo? None of those wild animals are ones we have here so I find that really fascinating. He he, I laughed about you running a cow out of the front yard. Coming from the country originally it makes me smile. Do you get snakes? My sister has been visiting and we were talking about her experience with snakes on her land - they have more of a hobby farm really. She said one day she walked out her front door in bare feet and felt something slimy underneath her foot - yes a snake. Oh you would hear me screaming all the way over there. Great post and thanks for the update on your entire family - it keeps you busy!

Snakes! I think they're my one real phobia, and oh yes we have them. My boy nearly got bitten by a copperhead on the back porch not long after we first moved here. He was getting food for the dogs, reached down and there that thing was.

The only one that I have seen around our place is the copperhead. I know in this area of Texas we are supposed to have rattlesnakes and corals also. I have never seen a rattlesnake in the wild. Thank goodness!

Makes me shiver! Since we got Jake though, I have NOT seen a snake. I was told by his previous owner that he kills them. Isn't that something?

Coyotes would be like dingos I think. There aren't skunks in Australia? Hhhhmmmm...

What kind of snakes do you have to look out for?

Don't you miss the country? I have a small post on that cow somewhere on my blog. I was on an ATV when I chased it :) Just picture that one!
